I have 4 collector positions open. I pay very high contingency rates, but for quality work. Out of other collection positions I’ve seen so far, I still have the best pay!!
I usually charge a one-time refundable $10 fee (covered by a contract to protect AFS and you) to get you situated in the system, but I’m waiving that if you have collection experience.
If you don’t, the fee will apply, but is refundable with the first payment you get or first 200 calls (which should take no more than 4 hours tops). The fee is there only after you accept the job and sign the contract, but before I invest my time into training you. This small fee is extremely low compared collection work at home jobs! The training ranges between 1 – 2 hours.
Here’s the requirements: – Clean Criminal Record (if you have something, we can talk about it) – 3 professional references – A calm demeanor and mature attitude – An attention for detail and desire to help people out of their financial blunders rather than “scare” them into paying. That’s not how I run my company. – Access to a private and clean (virus and spyware free) computer – You are ready to begin now, not after you deal with personal stuff – You have a strong desire to earn money (you can’t work this job with a non-enthusiastic attitude – You must pass a verbal FDCPA test and submit to random tests. – You must have your own phone line (skype, google, cell with unlimited mins, even a land line). Debtors won’t have your #, you’ll get transfers from your ext on the toll free line – At least an average proficiency with computers (windows) – The Ability to “close” accounts. This means work out a payment arrangement and see it through. – You understand that this is contingency, not hourly. – You understand that this is work at home, but that doesn’t mean courtesy goes out the window. If you have to call out, don’t just not work, but actually “call me” and tell me. I take it as disrespect when you just don’t work when you say you will without even a call.
And once again, a strong desire to make money. I pay very high and I can almost promise you, even with average skills but strong enthusiasm, you will make decent money. My average collector brings in an average $10/hr. My better collectors bring in more.
