Tender Coordinator/ Project Manager Positioning - The Netherlands; The Hague region - 23-12-2011
The Tender Co-ordinator shall be responsible for the preparation of tenders and proposals, and Business Development in specific regions, under the guidance and advise of the Business Line Manager. The Project Manager role shall be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of specific projects with the goal to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with procedures and to Clients specifications.
Specific tasks include:On the commercial side:
Assist in sale of services and Business Development of the business line of Positioning & Remote Services
Advise on marketing material
Initiate client contact and Account management
Compile proposals & tenders
Maintain knowledge on new techniques/ technologies in positioning
Follow up on a regular basis with clients
On the Project Management side:

Establish project procedures and budgets
Planning of project operations
Co-ordination of staff and equipment resources
Liaise with clients, perform site visits
Provide remote support to onsite field staff
Ensure project is executed to client specifications
Monitor project performance, ensure profitability

As Lead Surveyor with BP Egypt, you'll be responsible for survey and positioning assurance for the Region. One of the first needs will be to prepare for the start of a major development project in the West Nile Delta in 2012. On international assignment to Cairo, we will look to you to get the best out of your team (a mix of expatriate and national staff), as well as to oversee budget control and contractor management.
The background we’re looking for
For a role with challenges like these, we look for a degree in Surveying or Geomatics, or an equivalent qualification, combined with a solid background in a broad range of offshore survey operations. It also requires deep technical knowledge of positioning by both GNSS and acoustic methodologies. Thorough knowledge of fundamentals like geodesy, coordinate reference systems and transformations is expected. You’ll also have expertise in project management including procurement, contract review and negotiation, and financial controls, with the ability to prioritise the demands of multiple tasks. Familiar with HSSE management systems, you’ll have a portfolio of effectively managed survey projects to your credit. Ideally, you’ll bring to the role knowledge of data management and analysis by GIS and membership of a professional surveying institution.
